If you have a love of music and wish to support our Florida Orchestra through volunteer service and fundraising, we hope that you will consider joining our membership. Representing northern Pinellas and Pasco Counties, membership in The Florida Orchestra North Suncoast Associates provides a unique opportunity for conversations about music in a variety of social settings.

TFONSA holds three membership meetings a year: a Tune Up meeting in early fall, a Winter Meeting in February, and an Annual Meeting in May. Officers are elected at the Annual Meeting,

A buffet supper with wine and soft drinks is provided at each of the three membership meetings, and a TFO senior staff member gives an update on TFO concerts and activities. When possible, a member of the Orchestra provides a musical performance and chats informally with those in attendance. We believe that these meetings heighten the individual concert-going experience.

Our major fundraiser is the Bravura Brunch, held in March. We also have a Holiday Gathering in December and other smaller fundraising events.

TFONSA provides opportunities to volunteer, as well. TFONSA has a membership recruitment table at Ruth Eckerd Hall for every TFO concert. In addition, TFONSA members assist TFO at concerts by acting as Ambassadors at the door to greet the concert-goers. Another popular program is the Instrument Petting Zoo, which invites children 3 to 12 to try out child-size strings, woodwind, brass and percussion instruments before Family Concerts. NSA volunteers help the children hold and play the instruments.
