Our Signature Event

The first Bravura Brunch was held on Sunday December 4, 1994. Joan Kline chaired the event which was held at the home of Jim and Joan Quinlan in Belleair. This was the first major benefit of the newly formed support group, The Florida Orchestra North Suncoast Associates.

The invitation featured an illustration created by local resident, Dean Young of “Blondie’ fame.

About the Event

Since its inception in December of 1994, Bravura Brunch has become an annual and much anticipated event. It is the largest fundraiser sponsored by The Florida Orchestra North Suncoast Associates. The funds raised support The Florida Orchestra’s music, education and community outreach activities.

The Bravura Brunch program consists of a Brunch, Silent and Live Auctions, a musical performance by members of The Florida Orchestra, a Mission Moment feature which highlights the education and teaching programs that The Florida Orchestra provides through the local schools, a Q & A with a notable Guest such as our Music Director, Michael Francis and more. To date, this event has raised over $1,500,000 for The Florida Orchestra.
